Don't forget the urban attractions! Federal Way is host to great family fun at Wild Waves / Enchanted Village. And when you're ready for a slower pace, enjoy some beachcombing along the beach at Dash Point State Park, a walk along the boardwalk trail at West Hylebos Wetlands State Park, or take in the breath-taking beauty of the Rhododendron Botanical Garden. In the greater Seattle/Tacoma area, take in attractions such as the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma.

The Northwest is famous for it's spring/summer greenery, but it's also well known for its fall colors. Professional sports are in full swing with the Seattle Mariners and the Tacoma Rainiers wrapping up their seasons and the Seattle Seahawks gearing up their season. September often provides attractive weather and opportunities to enjoy the high country in the mountains.
Federal Way's location provides centralized access to numerous winter resorts in the Cascade Mountains at Mount Rainier, Crystal Mountain, White Pass and Snoqualmie Pass.
