Fairview tourist information
The City of Fairview, Tennessee, was incorporated on July 28, 1959 under the Uniform City Manager-Commission Charter as set out in Tennessee Code Annotated. An active Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals are in place to promote the public health, safety, order, prosperity, and general welfare of its citizenry by enforcing zoning regulations. Although Fairview is not growing by the same leaps and bounds as some other areas of Williamson County, our 1997 special census showed a moderate growth rate. Located in the northwest corner of Williamson County, Fairview is bordered by four other counties, Davidson, Cheatham, Dickson, and Hickman. We have quick and easy access to the interstate highway system because 1-40 cuts across our northwest corner. To further enhance the transportation 'network for Fairview, the 1-840 loop will come within 2 miles of our western boundary connecting to 1-40 at mile marker 177.
