Comment: Don't stay here! The room was just terrible. I had reserved a deluxe room with extra amenities. The room I reserved and guaranteed with a cc was not available even though I arrived at 5:30pm. The clerk did not apologize. All he said was that other guests arrived earlier and my room was given away. He even admitted that some did not have reservations, so reservations make NO difference. Even with the help of American Express's concierge service I was unable to get any sort of refund - even though the room I was ultimately given was substandard. I've never had a bathroom where there was no toilet seat! There was no place to put any of my toiletries - I had to put them on the top shelf of the closet which was very inconvenient. There was no vanity at all! The shower curtain was dirty and something was growing on it. The a/c did not work. The faucets dripped continually. The room had a bad odor. It was just awful - I've never had such a bad room - and this is supposedly an upscale hotel!! NOT!! There was one really good thing - the doorman who was quite lovely. He helped me find some great restaurants in walking distance and told me about some fun things going on in the city. He was great!
