Los Lunas tourist information
Los Lunas is named for the Luna family who claimed the area early in the 18th century. The Lunas made their fortune in sheep ranching and became a political force in New Mexico as early as 1846. Valencia County is part of the metropolitan area of Albuquerque and one of the fastest growing counties in the state.
