Comment: Excalibur was simply wonderful. The buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner was outstanding! The rooms were clean, comfy and spacious. The staff was so helpful and the price was right. Also, their pool is incredible! Girls, check out the Thunder from Down Under show. Its the best! Great casino, too. No complaints at all! This is the place to stay on the strip! The steak house is also SO good. Everything about this hotel is awesome and easy to find unlike a lot of other hotels where its so easy to get lost. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I loved it all!

Comment: I did the pre-check-in online, so it took me about 2 minutes to get my key. Never had to deal with the front desk. My room was very clean. I had a problem with an outlet and they came right up and fixed it. I absolutely loved the penny and nickel slots! I won a total of $700 on a total of $15 bet. I will go back.

Comment: I spent 3 days @ the Excalibur with my 2 grandkids who were visiting from Chicago. They had a terrific time @ the arcade and shopping @ the toy store. We were able to enjoy fast, simple meals @ the food court. They loved swimming @ the Luxor pool. All the staff @ hotel were courteous and friendly. They loved staying @ the castle and both said they can't wait to come to Las Vegas again and stay there.

Comment: Stopped here and got a great deal on a room without a reservation. No long lines and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey - $10 for my 5 year old , $11 for mine + tax. Pool was closed but they made arrangments with the hotel next door for their pool.

Comment: For the price it was a deal. We had a lot of fun and loved how friendly everyone was. Not the most updated decor but everything was clean and since we spent 1 waking hour a day in the room, our money went towards fun gambling, shows, and food. We would return for sure.

Comment: I stayed in tower one in a cleam large room. The staff was very accomodating and my meals were comped using the players card. I did need to ask and suggest you do the same. The dealers were friendly and the restaurants were not too bad. You get what you pay for. It is not as fancy as the newer casinos but it was in a good location and fine for what I was there for

Comment: i wasnt sure what to expect after reading reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean. Kids were not running around everywhere. Staff was helpful. Easy to get around. People in blue blazers which are at every hotel are aggravating. Just tell them you are leaving Las Vegas in an hour.

Comment: I went there for my honeymoon and had a very good time. There a lot of kids running around at all hours and I was not expecting that. We both love poker so when we were at the hotel the poker room is where we spent most of our time. The rooms are nothing fancy but ours was kept clean and I never had to wait long for the elevator. I would stay there again because I felt safe walking around by myself and the price was good.

Comment: Most these reviews seem way too harsh. Smelling like smoke? Hello you're in Vegas! The Excaliburs rooms were nice, the shower is huge and we had a fantastic view. I would have liked a coffeemaker in our room but that's not too big of an issue. I'd have no problems recommending it. The buffet was good, lots of selections and reasonably priced. If you want to avoid the timeshare people, tell them you make under $50k a year!

Comment: Nice hotel. A little disappointed when we first arrived in our room. Looked kind of old and worn because of the color scheme. Of course, they're going for the old world look. Ended up being perfectly fine....rooms clean, house keeping was great. Long walk from our room to casino and food. Activities at all the surrounding hotels made our location wonderful. Buffet was okay but a bit pricey. Krispy Kreme in hotel charged an arm and leg for donuts. McDonalds in hotel pretty normal prices but people that worked their were very rude. Not much shopping opportunities like other hotels.

Comment: Our daughter got married at the Canterbury Wedding Chapel and it was absolutely beautiful. We also have a 14 year old son who went to Vegas with us and the Excalibur provided great entertainment for him. He loved the arcade, but would have liked to have had a pool. We went to the dinner show and had a great family time. And the easy access to the Vegas strip was awesome. If you are brining your family I would definitely recommend the Excalibur.

Comment: Rooms were good size for the value, mattresses need to be changed. Great access to other hotels. The only problem I had with the casino was that the slots were too tight, we played slots next door at the Luxor there slots were not as tight as they were at the Excabular. There are better valued restaurant upstairs above the casino we did not find them until the second day.

Comment: Rooms were nice size and comfortable, but showers only...no tubs. Be prepared for long walks to your room from the elevators unless you get a room near the elevator. Everything in the buffet was overcooked...look elsewhere for food. Location was excellent...near other major hotles and casinos. Staff was very friendly. Decor is a little drab, but that is because of theme of hotel...Middle Ages. Would stay again.

Comment: This is not bad for an older hotel. Rooms are clean, housekeeping staff is very friendly and attentive. Love the fact that it has a 24hr restaurant downstairs for late nite meals that are decent. The lobby/casino area is a little drafy as most doors are not double as in some of the other hotel as have seen. This can be quite unnerving if you are visiting during windy winter days. Otherwise, good experience.

Comment: This was a last minute trip. So, I was mostly pleased with the hotel. They can work on the smell in the room. Don't know if it's the carpet cleaner or not. The bathroom can be updated and there were a couple of cracks there. The iron was not very good. The dealers on the tables were not smiling ;)Otherwise, the food is great, the price was affordable, everything was convenient. We had a great time!!!

Comment: Went on a last minute road trip with girlfriends to Vegas. Since we were going kinda cheap and so last minute we didn't have many hotel choices. We anticipated the hotel to be old school, low ceilings, smoky and small rooms. But we upgraded upon check in for only $10 extra a night and got a GREAT room. The entire floor was non-smoking and didn't smell of smoke AT ALL. We had pillow topped mattresses and a huge flat screen TV. The bathroom was large enough for 4 girls to get ready at the same time. No tub, but really when you're in Vegas who has time for that?

Comment: Employees hasseled us when we walked in the door, still carrying luggage, about an opportunity at a new condo nearby. We were just trying to check in after a long morning of travel. Employee did not get the hint we weren't interested so we asked to see bell desk, then employee tried to guilt us into visiting the condo by saying she only works on commission.... anyway this was a really bad way to start a stay at their hotel.

Comment: Most of the Excalibur is fairly nice, but the aggressive timeshare sales staff (blue blazers) are extremely pushy, and don't take a polite 'No thank you' for an answer. I dreaded walking through the casino and grounds lest they literally leap out from bushes (near the tram station). I'll pay more for a Strip hotel that doesn't have them around.

Comment: Our first ever trip to Vegas and the travel agent gave us the usual "don't spend extra on a fancier hotel - you won't spend much time there anyway." That's true, but we didn't want to spend ANY time in the Excalibur - it is so smoky, the carpets look dingy, the rooms were old - old furniture & bedding, nothing extra. Food was average. Ordered a drink in the casino & it took 1 hour to arrive. Overall - needs better ventilation & a complete overhaul - or get out the tnt & re-build!

Comment: The Hotel looked beautiful from the outside, but once I checked in the actual room looked old and very motel(ish). Please Be Advise... There are no full length Mirrors anywhere in the room. Lastly, the travel desk is not very helpful and no one employed there (managers included) have internet access to assist you with anything. I will never stay here again!

Comment: We had a good time. There was only one disappointment...when we arrived at midnight our room wasn't ready. We had to wait two hours for the room to be cleaned. The check-in staff manager was rude. Her own words "I'm not going to apologise, it's just the way it is." Not what you want to hear at that hour. Besides that everything was pleasent. The midway was fun for our son. We liked the location also.

Comment: We had stayed at Excalibur 3 years ago and loved it. When we returned this year, we were pretty disappointed. Our room stank of cigarette smoke and the smoke detector had been torn from the ceiling. When we asked to change rooms, we had to return in the middle of the day to do it. The air conditioner made so much noise, we couldn't hear ourselves think. The breakfast buffet was so horrible we refused to eat any other meals at the hotel. The best things going for it are its location and the inexpensive table games.

Comment: We loved the LOOK of the hotel, but were not impressed with the cleaning staff. There was hair in the sink and shower and the carpets were obviously not vacuumed anywhere except the middle. All edges of the room were severely/visibly dusty at a glance.

Comment: When we came in the room there was a fan with water in it running and the face plate of the air conditioner/heater was laying on the floor. We received no information that it wasn't working or why we had a fan. The fan was not keeping the room cool so we tried the air conditoning and it would work for a few minutes and cut off. The time-share sales people were annoying.

Comment: Before we even checked in we we "jumped" by a time share salesman with "free gifts"( Which cost $10.00 if we go see a time share presentation) The room was upgraded for $10.00 and for a delux room, it wasn't clean, it was outdated and smelled stale and we had a lovely view of the roof air conditioning units and the "strip view" was blocked by the facade of the hotel. Definitely below average

Comment: I was disappointed because our pool was closed for renovation. The rooms had that "cheap motel" smell. I haven't experienced that when staying at other places in Vegas. The rooms were plain, and since they were renovating the pool area (our room was poolside) we were awoken daily by the sound of jackhammers. Not impressed. They changed the Keno area into the sports bar, and we had to ask for our free drink tickets, where as before the waitress just came and brought you a drink, because they knew you were there to gamble, not just watch a football game.

Comment: Nice casino, tram to Luxor and Monteray Bay nice. Beds at hotel awful and had to pay a charge for everything including a local phone charge for a room phone I didn't even use.

Comment: Room faced cement wall, toilet ran all night, kids running/screaming at all hours, pool was disgusting. Upon check out, when staff was informed, was told that she'd "make a note" - no compensation or apology. For same location and similar price, but a MUCH better experience, stay at the Tropicana across the street.

Comment: The moment we checked in we had trouble. The hotel was not set up to swipe your credit card. They had to have a crd that could make impression, The front desk supervisor was extremely rude and the management staff was no better, Had to send food back twicw because it was cold. Would not stay here again.

Comment: The rooms were horrible, the beds were uncomfortable, our bathroom sink didn't work, very dark and dreary and out dated. Casino didn't have enough open tables, couldn't find a spot to gamble at. Lacking in restaurants.

Comment: When I went to checkin at hotel, front desk said that there was no reservation under my reserved name, when i presented documentation, they informed me that it was a mistake. They then informed me that the reservation was under the wrong last name. The front desk mananger was rude and had a horrible attitude. One of our lights in the room was out, and a housekeeper, handed my mother a light bulb and told her to fix it, that is a big NO! My likelyhood of staying at the Excalibur is not too good.

Comment: While Las Vegas is a city to be experienced, the bed plays an important part for many participants. Springs coming through the bedding and into knees and elbos is not very comfortable. Security is great, loose the time share salesmen.

Comment: Dirty room, indifferent staff, room service breakfast cold as ice. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If price is the consideration, there are many other cleaner and friendlier choices in Vegas.

Comment: Our technician stayed here for a week. When he arrived he had no clean towels, no soap, no toilet paper, shampoo etc. We had to call housekeeping to keep the room stocked.

Comment: Parked in a designated parking garage and had to breathe sewer smells until we got into the hotel, customer service behind the registration counter was horrible! Our tv/internet didn't work without a deposit, 24/hour resturant was closed, window view of a wall.

Comment: Very smelly- tobacco stink permeates everything- even the non-smoking rooms. Not worth the savings, buyer beware. Really gives the whole Las Vegas mystique a bad name (and smell). Shame on Excalibur, shame on Las Vegas.
