Comment: The Candlewood Suites in Las Vegas near the strip was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It was incredibly clean, the front desk personnel were very nice and helpful and the accommodations were great. The room was spacious and we felt very comfortable there. It was a GREAT place to stay!!! We would go back for sure!!!!!!

Comment: designed for extended stay, no room service but nice rooms, kitchenette, recliners and good TV. Great DSL internet access. Nice pool and gym, free movies at the front desk, free food Wednesdays. close to great restaurants, 20-25 minute walk to strip.

Comment: Overall I enjoyed my visit there, The only thing was that it did have a little weird smell, but aside of that nice visit good price.

Comment: Very new and clean hotel, very well situated, close to the Strip, helpfull people at the front desk. Major regret they do not clean your room in a !!WEEK!!. NO vacuum, no way to clean the Bath, toilet etc....

Comment: You really should have some transportation if you're going to stay here. That's a pretty long walk to the strip or convention center. The white room in the photo would have been nice, mine was brown. Decent pool and gym. Good restaurants across the street.

Comment: THE POSITIVE: The place looks clean and well kept on the outside, and our room was clean. The bed was not very comfortable, but we were so tired after our days on the Strip it was okay. The Candlewood Cupboard is awesome - all kinds of food, even animal food and baby supplies and toiletries and the stuff is not overpriced. THE NEGATIVE: Staff is rude - didn't know how to handle online reservations. Personally, I wouldn't let the rotten staff stop you from staying there. The room is what?s important and it was fine for the most part.

Comment: New to Vegas? Beware the wildly misleading description "1&1/2 blocks from the Strip." Given the layout of Vegas, the Candlewood is a good 40-minute walk from the Strip, and Vegas is no town for off-Strip walking -- cinders, roaring traffic, bad sidewalks, &c. Tickets to a show on the Strip? Plan on a $10 cab ride each way. The Candlewood isn't a bad place -- it's clean, spacious, quiet -- but hardly feels like it's "in" Vegas. And no amenities -- it's a pleasant place to sleep.

Comment: The "suite" was no more than a standard room with the "full kitchen" crammed into one corner of the room. The bed was hard and lumpy, the recliner did not recline and the A/C drowned out the sound of planes on approach. The last straw was when the Front Desk Guy (the most unprofessional and rude hotel employee I have ever encountered) told me to "keep my wife on a leash". We have NEVER been treated so rudely at a hotel, and intend to file a formal complaint.
