Beach House Hotel description
The only hotel in Miami beach designed by the Polo Ralph Lauren Design Team, the Beach House Bal Harbour was inspired by the great beach homes of Nantucket, Coastal Maine and the Hamptons. The Beach House Bal Harbour feels like a luxurious, private home on the ocean. From chocolate chip cookies at the front desk to the little, unique gift offered at checkout, guests of the Beach House have a feeling of warmth, casual luxury and superb service. Public spaces at the Beach House are residential in scale, creating a warm, welcoming feeling from the moment a guest walks through the door. Instead of an intimidating, oversized lobby, there is a series of intimate rooms throughout the ground floor. The screened-in porch is filled with turn-of- the-century wicker collectibles and colorful preppy fabrics that evoke pure southern hospitality. The Bamboo Room is a tropical luxury with its leather sofas. Asian antiques and giant bamboo trees. Outside, majestic date palms provide a gentle breeze for guests as they bask in teak lounges by the swimming pool. A poolside spa provides the ultimate luxury close at hand for sunbathing guests. There is an intimate pool bar and an organic juice bar for the health-minded. A stroll through the topiary garden brings one face-to-face with trees in the shape of sea creatures. The landscape of the hotel's private beach has been designed to emulate Gilligan's island, replete with hammocks and coconut trees. 165 incredibly spacious and comfortable guest rooms at the Beach House are decorated with Nantucket-style wainscoting, whitewashed Ralph Lauren furniture, pale blue walls and overstuffed chairs abounding with throw pillows. Each room features its own collection of local seashells, cobalt- blue vases, a mini-library, a fisherman's basket full of starfish and a bed piled high with linens from the Ralph lauren Home Collection.
