Whenever I come to San Francisco, I'm impressed how fast I refind my way through this amazing city.
San Francisco might have lost lots of tourists in the last two year, but still is a must see destination when visiting California.
On my stays in San Francisco, I usually stayed at the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf. Being close to the fisherman's wharf is good point to start your exploration of the city.
You might want to explore Pier 39. For me as swiss, San Francisco's Pier 39 was impressive overall. There is even a swiss restaurant where you can enjoy swiss specialties like Fondue or Raclette.
To get a nice view of San Francisco, you might want to go on top the Transamerica Pyramid (not sure, if still open to public) or Coit Tower. You will get a nice view of the city.
Chinatown offers you a lot of shopping. You can find copies of all brands, cheap t-shirts, postcards and much more or simply enjoy a chinese Restaurant.
If you're good by feet, a visit of the Presidio, close to the world famous San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge is a absolute must. Just stroll along the beach. You might want to start from the Ghirardelli Square. San Francisco's Ghirardelli Square offers you good shopping and dining opportunities.
If you're by car, don't miss San Francisco's most thrilling street, Lombard Street. Lombard Street became famous by several movies.
Another must when in San Francisco is riding one of the old Cable Cars. They are also in easy reach from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.
The chinese garden might good for stroll in a relaxing San Francisco Park.
A little bot cruise starting from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf might be a good addition to your travel plans. No matter if you want to visit one of the islands (Alcatraz, Sausalito). Alcatraz for sure might be must.
Don't miss the Golden Gate Bridge, one of San Francisco's most world famous sights, seen on hundreds of pictures, taken by mostly every San Francisco Tourist.
I'm sure, there is much more to see, but I'm also sure, I'll be back in San Francisco
