Seinäjoki is an urban centre in heavy growth and with a good location from the point of view of traffic connections, both for the surrounding region and the rest of the country. Seinäjoki is one of the most important junctions of the main railway Helsinki-Oulu. Moreover, Seinäjoki airport provides daily connections to the international flights departing from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. A good location is a factor of key importance for the growth of the city and its development as a service centre for trade and administration. Today, Seinäjoki is a city of more than 31 000 inhabitants and the centre of a region of 200 000 inhabitants.
