The Savanna of Bogotá offers numerous places which are ideal for the practice of extreme sports and adventure tourism. The town of Suesca, less than an hour from Santa Fe de Bogotá, receives more than 60 climbers a week who climb one of the 200 routes in this rocky area. Rock climbing, an off shoot of mountain climbing, may be practiced in spots of more than 50 meters high (about 150 feet) that have different degrees of difficulty. At the Neusa reservoir, not too far from Bogota, one can practice parasailing and hang gliding. If you prefer water sports, this reservoir, surrounded by an impressive pine forest, is perfect for fishing, sailing and water skiing.. The Tomine Reservoir is an important place for water sport competitions. There you will also find many restaurants, marine clubs and nearby the town of Guatavita which is a special attraction for tourists because of its architecture and souvenirs.
