Raahe Finland

Old Raahe (Brahestad) is one of the best-preserved wooden house towns of 19th century Finland. Old Raahe consists of 150 houses and 200 outbuildings. It is not a museum but a living town still preserved as an urban area for one-family houses.

Raahe Maritime Museum. The collections show the history of Raahe as a town of seafarers and shipbuilders. The treasure of the museum is the world's oldest diving suit, made of leather "Wanha Herra" (the Old Man) from the late 18th century.

Annala Museum. The museum is located just beside Highway 8, and comprises 22 houses with 7500 individual exhibits. In the museum the old local fishing culture, habits, farming and lifestyle since 1500-1600 are well presented.
