Pori is famous for its Jazz Festivals in July and invites you to Yyteri Sands. Situated some 20 km from the centre of Pori Yyteri is the Finnish "Riviera" with 6 kilometres of beautiful sandy beaches. Accommodation is available at Yyteri Spa Hotel and Yyteri camping site with cottages and caravan area. There is also a golf course and wind surfing centre.
The island of Reposaari, situated 32 km from the centre of Pori is like a small town of its own. With many wooden houses and it also features a Norwegian-style church, the Marina Merilokki visitors' marina, an old garrison park, the Merimesta fishing centre, a fisher-men's harbour and the Merimesta fish restaurant. Meri-mesta is also a good place to buy fresh fish and has a beautiful view to the open sea.
