Panguipulli Tourist Information
Panguipulli is head of the area Siete Lagos, and was once the last train station to embark the timber production of the region. You can arrive from Argentina through Paso Hua Hum and sailing on Lake Pirihueico, or from the coast, but in both cases, you will see the first gentle slopes that farther south turn higher until they form the backdrop of the Andes with farms neatly cultivated on the sides of the roads you drive along. The name of this small city means "land of lions". It is ornamented by roses and rhododendrons along winding little streets descending to the lake, which conform a scenery you will surely remember for its beauty.
