Orense Tourist Information
Orense is located in Tres Arroyos District, in the southeast of Buenos Aires Province. Very few kilometers away from the city , there is a homonimous beach resort. It is a young wild place where the beach, the high dunes and the sea with warm water make the place an ideal one to rest and relax listening to the waves break into the shore. In order to get to this inhospitable region from " Capital Federal" which is situated 585 km away, you can take Nº 3 and 228 National Routes or Nº 73 and 72 Provincial Routes which are in perfect conditions except the last 15 km that are a bit tuffed. Orense has beautiful natural attractions, a wide soft beach that is semicircular and provides you with the chance of practising water sports, fishing, horse riding or walks in a specially charming atmosphere. Among the interesting places to visit, you can find Hurtado's Cultural Center and House where there is an information office, the Bay in Julian's waterfall that is a natural border with Claromecó and an ideal place to practise sport fishing and 20 and 40 dunes being high and having been forested by the first inhabitants from where you can enjoy excellent views. You cannot miss " Arroyo Cristiano Muerto" (Dead Christian Stream) to go on four trax excursions across the huge dunes or the Forest Lagoon called Huinca- Loo which is a great mirror of water of 140 hectares and where you can fish atherines,sharp teeth fish and catfish or enjoy birdwatching- coming across black neck swans, flamingoes, storks, herons and ducks. All the attractions of Orense bring together nature and man's creation providing you with the chance of living in and enjoying a wild place away from civilization and closer to eternal peace.
