Nipawin Saskatchewan Tourist Information
Nipawin is located approximately 150 km east of Prince Albert on Highway 55 and approximately 280 km north of Saskatoon. Connections from the Saskatoon airport are most often made by car, however airport facilities exist at Prince Albert and bus service runs most days from both centres.
Nipawin is situated between Tobin and Codette lakes on the Saskatchewan River. Modern boat launch facilities exist at numerous points on both lakes. Watersports, boating and fishing are all popular activities on the lakes.
Nipawin is a town of approximately 5000 people with all the services and facilities of larger centres. The friendly service and local hospitality, however, make Nipawin stand out from other centres. As well as an extensive shopping district and numerous parks and recreational facilities, Nipawin boasts a wide variety of restaurants and eateries with a selection sure to appeal to almost everyone
For the modern traveller who feels the need to keep up with online services, the Wapiti Valley Community Access Program offers free internet access at the Wapiti Regional Library during the week.
