Mikkeli tourist information
Mikkeli, headquarters’ city during three wars, is located in Southern Savo, in the heart of the Finnish Lakeland. Today war history can be seen at the Headquarters Museum, Communications Centre Lokki and Infantry Museum.
The Mikkeli International Music Festival, Ballet Mikkeli and Työväen Näyttämöpäivät Drama Festival attract spectators year after year. St Michel Trotting Race, Hulivili Children’s Carnival and jazz events in the summer guarantee happy moments for the whole family.
Local culinary and handicrafts culture are present at Tertin Kartano Manor and Kenkävero. Ollinmäen Viinitila Winery offers refreshing drinks and food and also extreme activities.
