Paul Delvaux, the world-famous Surrealist, painted a large part of his works in his house in the mansion quarter of Sint Idesbald. In its former house you find the Paul Delvaux museum . In the museum you can enjoy about its earlier works, in addition, about its "Clair Obscur" (light dark works), its woman wives in stations, its Jules Verne figures etc..
In Koksijde the ruins of the dune abbey count the remnants of a Cistercian monastery from that 13. Century, to the most important historical places at the flaemischen coast.
