Kispiox British Columbia Tourist Information
Northwest of The Hazeltons is the Kispiox Valley, a rural area of farms, fishing lodges, market gardens and two Gitksan villages. Glen Vowell was founded in 1898, and its Salvation Army heritage church is a reminder of the missionary era. Kispiox, once the site of Fort Stager, which was the end of the Collins Overland Telegraph Line, is located at the confluence of the Kispiox and Skeena Rivers. Stop here to view the 15 totem poles, the Pierce Memorial Church and the salmon hatchery.
