The Township of King is a prosperous, vibrant community, proud of its rural traditions and committed to balancing the benefits of accessibility with the values of its natural environment. It is located halfway between Toronto and Barrie and is approximately 40 minutes north of Pearson International Airport. King features some of the most picturesque countrysides in Ontario. The rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine are the Township's most prominent geographical features boasting forests, world class horse and dairy farms as well as Ontario's vegetable basket, the Holland Marsh. The Township is home to Schomberg Fair, one of the oldest fairs in Ontario. Everyday needs of the family are met-from organized activities such as swimming, tennis, and hockey to walking trails, parks and conservation areas-all within an easy commuting distance of Toronto. The Township also boasts a number of world-class golf courses.
