Frantiskovy Lazne Tourist Information
This spa was established by doctor Bernhard Adler from Cheb near the healing spring in 1793. That is why a broad walk street marks the town centre instead of a square. Typical spa architectural structures, which were built in the period between the 18th and the 19th century, such as Classicist and Empire buildings, stylish pavilions, parks, and also church monuments have been preserved here. The orthodox St. Olga´s Church, which was built in commemoration of Russian clients, is also worth to mention. The spa is well-known especially for its rich deposits of sulphur-ferrous peat and mineral springs such as the Luisa´s Spring, the Glaubr´s Springs and others. Healing springs are used for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, gynaecological diseases and movement/muscular disorders (Rubeška, Imperial, Esplanade and Belvedere spa houses).
