Preface 775 Jubilee In 2004 the market town of Faaborg will celebrate its 775th anniversary with an abundance of exciting events and activities. Our jubilee committee has chosen to focus on creating a festive occasion primarily aimed at Faaborg`s own townsmen. It is, however, also my hope that our jubilee celebrations will provide our many tourists with fond memories to take home of our charming, old town.
775 is quite an age and the town of Faaborg has managed to create harmony between the old and the new. Whilst respecting our ancient buildings and cobbled streets, we have managed to make room for innovation which means that Faaborg, despite its considerable age, has retained its youthful enthusiasm.
