Entwistle Alberta Tourist Information
Entwistle was incorporated as a village in March 1909, and was named after James Entwistle who was early settler of the Magnolia district. He was a locomotive engineer on the Grand Trunk Railway and he was also the first postmaster. It is located near the Pembina Provincial Park, which lies in a scenic area and offers year round recreational facilities. Driving across the Pembina River, you will see the highest steel trestle on the CN Line. Manufactured in Scotland, it was shipped by boat and assembled on site.
