Edson tourist information
The Town of Edson is located in west-central Alberta, approximately 200 km (124 miles) west of Edmonton, on the Yellowhead Highway #16 and 163 km (100 miles) east of Jasper, and is accessible by plane, car or rail.
The Edson Airport has a 1,825 m (6,000 ft) paved runway with lighting and 24-hour fuel service. A major service centre for the area, the Town of Edson serves the more than 17,000 people in its trading area. It not only has lots to offer to the tourist seeking a natural vacation, but also to a business seeking to expand into the area.
