Dvor Tourist Information

Dvor is located along the Una river which follows the state border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major tourist attractions include the nearby Zrin-ska Gora (616 m), the remains of the Pedaljgrad fortifications from the 13th century and of the Cuntic hill-fort from the 16th century, and particularly the remains of the Zrin fortification from the 14th century. Walking in the surroundings, easier mountaineering tours, hunting and fishing are major visitor opportunities of this region. However, they are still underutilized. DVOR, a town on the left bank of the Una river, 27 km southwest of Hrvatska Kostajnica; elevation 139 m; population 2,351. The older part of the town is located on a terrace (so-called "pod") above the river, hence its earlier name Podovi. Economy is based on farming, livestock breeding, metal--processing, wood and timber and chemical industries. Dvor lies at the intersection of the main road Glina - state border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
