Drnje Tourist Information
The location near the Drava river and its backwaters facilitated the development of excursion and transit tourism. Close to Drnje is Soderica Lake, the most popular bathing-place of the entire northern Croatia.
The broader area along the Drava, its backwaters and artificial lakes constitute the important winter habitat of mute swans. Angling and hunting are -also possible in the immediate vicinity of Drnje.
DRNJE, a village in the region of Podravina, 10 km northeast of Koprivnica; elevation 127 m; popu-lation 1,158. Chief occupations are farming, livestock breeding and gravel extraction (Botovo). Drnje is located on the main road Koprivnica - Gola - Croatian-Hungarian border.
