Donji Miholjac Tourist Information

The position of Donji Miholjac along the border river Drava determined its function as a border town and transit tourist centre. The nice neo-Gothic manor, with its park being protected as a horticultural monument, is the visitors' main target.

The Miholjac Gathering (Miholjacko Sijelo) represents the most important event, including traditional folk costumes, tunes and dances as well as rich gastronomic offer.

Angling and hunting represent the main basis of tourism. The immediate surroundings of the town offer hunting, and the nearby fishpond and the Drava river angling opportunities. DONJI MIHOLJAC, a town in the region of Podravina, 34 km north of Nasice; elevation 97 m; population 6,935. Chief occupations are farming, rubber and plastics processing, production of vinegar, soft drinks and pasta. Fishponds and oil and natural gas deposits (Benicanci, Boksic, Lug, Durad, Kucanci) are nearby. Donji Miholjac is located at the intersection of the main road (M17.2) Nasice Donji Miholjac and the regional road Osijek Valpovo Donji Miholjac.
