The town of Djibouti, built of 1886 to 1900, in houses of Arab style, concentrates all the economic activity and administrative country. Its population is of 200 000 inhabitants. It is equipped with modern means of communication. The Palate of the People inaugurated in 1985 makes it possible to accomodate the International and National Conferences and also contributes to cultural and artistic promotion national.
With its capacity of more than 1 500 places, Djibouti can today offer an International Center of the Conferences and Congrès equipped very well. Because of its economic activity, the capital exerts a strong attraction on the populations of the interior.
