This village housing a fishermen colony is a required visit to those going to Ceará’s capital. 30 km far from Fortaleza is one place with everything one visitor may enjoy. The buggy strolls are the most requested. You have the chance of knowing very beautiful beaches with enormous dunes and blue sea, and the lakes are good options for swimming and nautical sports.
There are good options for tasting dishes and snacks prepared with fishes and seafood on the tents on the border. Still on the Caucaia town, where Cumbuco is a district of, there are good parks to leisure and hikes.

The Parque Botânico do Ceará (Ceará's Botanical Garden) is a natural reserve with typical vegetation tabuleiro (a local ecosystem) and several bird springs. The visitor can hike and know mangroves and caatinga environments. The Paraíso Perdido, the zoo with almost 600 animals, shows exotic animals, as tigers, lions and hippopotamus, besides birds and serpents. It has leisure areas with aquatic park and food place at the border of the beach.
Cumbuco has several categories and prices hotels. Restaurants and tents in front of the beach serve simple and typical dishes based on fresh fishes. Tourism guides offer their services to the visitors as soon as they come on the village.
Cumbuco is 30 km far from Fortaleza. There are two access options – by the roads BR-22 and CE-085 or by the avenues and roads parallel to the border. Common buses and vans from tourism agencies take tourists there.
