Cariló is one of the most exclusive seaside resorts of the Atlantic Coast. Settled in a thick wood where silence, unfilthy air, sandy beaches, the sea, the peculiar architecture of the houses and the sun rays provide you with the best atmosphere for deserved relaxing days in which you can enjoy walks or the practice of sports near nature. The climate is humid and mild with nice temperatures, especially in Summer, ranging from 22ºC to 34º C in the hottest month. Winter is colder with temperatures ranging from 1º to 17º C. To get to this area of the Argentinean coast from Capital Federal, you can take Nº 2 National Route until Dolores City where you must take Nº63 Provincial Route till " Crotto's Corner" and then, take Nº 56 Provincial Route till destination. Cariló is a mapuche word that means " green sandbank" and is faithful to the spirit of the place which is covered by trees and plants and where the architecture tries to give a charming touch to this natural magic place. In the city, there are magnificent houses settled in a beautiful natural environment and offers an excellent touristic infrastructure to cope with the taste of the most demanding tourists. The commercial center is only one block long and attracts tourists from the nearby resorts due to the high quality of crafts and other products sold there. Cariló beach is the main attraction, it is 300 meters wide and has a steep slope to the sea. The inns have first class service and you can practice sports such as beach volleyball, beach rugby or five soccer. There are many tours or excursions you can go on in this region- four trax crossings, horse rides, cycling, walks or photo safaries. Strolling along the pedestrian street, a practice in the golf club or a horse riding lesson in the Riding Club of the city are some of the activities you can enjoy here. In the outskirts, you can visit Valeria del Mar, Ostende or the 600 hectares Big Salty Lagoon where you can enjoy sport fishing.
