Brezovica Tourist Information

Centre of a spacious rural area within the City of Zagreb, close to the large intersection of the highways Zagreb-Lucko. The main attraction is a nice, newly adapted castle of the Draskovic family, with a park; a popular excursion destination of the citizens of Zagreb, especially in the evenings (a restaurant, a night club). In the vicinity is a special forest vegetation reserve called Stupnicki Lug - peat-bog plant community (sphagnous plants) with an old forest of common oak and hornbeam with beech in the stage of secondary forest.

BREZOVICA, a village 12 km southwest of Zagreb; population 398. It was first mentioned in 1522. Economy is based on farming. Brezovica is located on the regional road.
