Bowsman Manitoba Tourist Information

The Village of Bowsman in Western Manitoba is located at the junction of Provincial Trunk Highway 10 and Provincial Road 587. Situated in the picturesque Parkland region of Manitoba, Bowsman is approximately only 350 kilometres north west of Manitoba's second largest city, Brandon. Bowsman is only 16 kilometres north of the Town of Swan River. The Swan River Valley which surrounds Bowsman is one of the most picturesque regions in Manitoba.

Rich agricultural farmlands meet natural prairie grasslands and forests that are native to this region. The valley nestles itself between the Duck Mountains and Porcupine Mountains.

The residents of Bowsman have a very strong and close community life. With its own curling rink, arena, community hall, and various churches, the village has an abundance of community clubs and organizations. Local curling clubs, a 4-H club, a seniors club and a strong legion and horticulture society are only a few of the clubs that residents are a part of.

Bowsman's location in the Swan River Valley, and its proximity to the Porcupine and Duck Mountains make for excellent opportunities in snowmobiling, camping, hiking and hunting.
