Bogense tourist information
Where the Kattegat meets the Little Belt lies the North Funen town of Bogense. It was granted a municipal charter already in 1288. The older part of the town contains well-kept old houses from the 19th century, with merchant's houses and half timbered structures.
The market square is without any doubt one of the most beautiful and unique of its kind, as the large open square is encircled by an unbroken row of small beautiful houses and large lime trees. In the middle of the square there is an old water pump and at the end of the square you see the church of ST. Nikolai. Weekly market days all year round.
