Belec Tourist Information
BELEC, a village in the region of Hrvatsko Zagorje on the southern slopes of Ivancica Mountain, 7 km southwest of Zlatar; elevation 271 m; population 469. Chief occupations are farming and livestock breeding. Belec is located on a local road, which branches off the regional road.
The most beautiful Baroque church with the enclosure wall in Croatia and the remains of the Belecgrad fortifications represent outstanding tourist attractions. Hiking and walking tours on Ivancica, as well as visits to the nearby castles, manor-houses and small churches attract numerous tourists to Belec.
