Begovo Razdolje Tourist Information

Climatic conditions, lengthy winters and ski cable cars are the basis for the development of winter sports. In 1980, Hotel Bjelolasica (100 beds) and a recreation centre were built. Begovo Razdolje is gaining special importance in development plans of winter sports in Croatia - under this project, marking has been carried out to the peak of Bjelolasica via Zuta Poljana and Podova.

Intact nature of this region invites to vacation also in the summer, when the favourite pastime is berry-picking (whortleberries, raspberries, mushrooms) or walking through wonderful belvederes.

BEGOVO RAZDOLJE, a village in Gorski Kotar, located at the foot of Velika Kapela Mountain, 8 km southeast of Mrkopalj; elevation 1,060 m; popu--lation 98. It is located on the local road Mrkopalj - Velika Kapela Mountain. It is the only habitation above 1,000 m in Croatia. There is a chapel in the village - the church holiday of the Assumption of Mary is celebrated (15th of August).
