Blessed with a sunny climate, the Berri Barmera district is located in the Riverland, South Australia, 2?hoursdrive from Adelaide and is an ideal location to spend time with family and loved ones, whether it be a short break or extended vacation.
You can reach our District by car via the Sturt Highway from Adelaide (Main North Road to Gawler) or Mildura. There are otheralternative routes that can be taken by car from Adelaide also. Premier Stateliner Coachesalso travel between Berri, Barmeraand Adelaide twice daily (once on Saturdays) and McCafferty Greyhound Coaches regularly travel between Sydney and Adelaide passing through the Riverland.
If boating is more your style, Berri has floating wharf platforms for boat and houseboat mooring. A public marina (not suitable for houseboats) is also located on the Riverfront in Berri and small boats can access Lake Bonney and Barmera from the Murray River via Chambers Creek (low bridge).
