Baernbach Tourist Information

The town of Bärnbach and its surroundings offers an insight into the working world, landscape, arts and past of the region. Many attractions have become an essential part of every visiting tour through Bärnbach: the St. Barbara Church which was given a new artistic form by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the recently adapted "Schloßbad" (an open-air pool near the castle), the secondary modern school building has been enlarged and then enriched by Zeppel-Sperl´s imaginative figures and faces, the Stölzle glass-works center continuously offering special exhibitions, the village chapel of Tregist (a work by the regional artist Prof. Franz Weiß) and the fountain in the public park (called "Fuchs fountain") which has been recently created by Prof. Ernst Fuchs
