Bad Liebenstein is situated at the sunny south-west slope of the Thuringian Forest. At about 350m altitude a healthy bracing climate is found. Bad Liebenstein is the oldest Health Spa of Thuringia, and lived its period of glory during the 19th century. In the period around 1860 Duke George II of Saxony-Meiningen had houses of dynasties, summer residences, walking foyer, theatre and a temple well built in beautifully created parks, alleys and promenades. Most modern equipped Spa Clinic and a Health Resort Treatment Institution offer our guests ambulant treatment, fitness, relaxation and convalescence.
