Far only 35 km from Fortaleza, Aquiraz is known because it has one of the more complex aquatic parks on the country. However, the town has many other attractions. Dunes, transparent sea and raftings compose its coastline. Because it's one of the oldest cities in Ceará and its first capital, it has some old buildings that are part of the historical patrimony. Beach Park is a real entertainment city where the visitor can spend the day enjoying very different emotions. Not only the young people like the toys, but adults do too. Forest scenarios, pirate ships and slides in the water attract children. But adults can also enjoy the giant tobowaters, rivers with artificial current and enormous pools with waves. The park is at the beach edge and has its own hotel. One park with toys only to children is the Ytacaranha Beach Park, which offers tobowaters and rivers with currents. These two aquatic parks are on the beach Porto das Dunas (Dunes' Port).
On Iguape, enormous dunes serve as floor to the sanboard, a kind of ski on the sand. Porto das Dunas has tourist terminal and two big aquatic parks. All over the Aquiraz coastline there are places for surfing. There are places where you can buy craftworks (bobbin laces and labyrinth) in Iguape and Prainha.
There are diversified hotels, since resorts to simple inns with low prices. It has restaurants that serve typical dishes prepared with fresh fishes on the region.
35 km far from Fortaleza center, the access to Aquiraz is easy, by avenues or by the BR-116 road. There are buses departing from the capita.
