Ambalavao Tourist Information

South of Fianarantsoa (56 kms) on the country's main artery, Route Nationale 7, Ambalavao is the last town of the High Plateau before reaching the "Door to the South". It is the gateway to Andringitra's National Park and is known for the Antaimoro paper and its bustling cattle market every Wednesday.
