The romantic little town of Altenfelden is located on a sunny plateau overlooking the Kleine and Große Mühl rivers, right on the edge of the Bohemian Forest. Altenfelden has a lot to offer in summer and winter alike. Among its most renowned highlights is the Altenfelden Wildlife Park which attracts more than 55,000 visitors per year. The preserve covers a total area of 80 hectares, boasting 700 different species of animals.
