Ærøskøbing is a small community on the island Ærø south of Funen. Ærø is app. 30 km long and 9 km where it is at the widest. Ærø has 7.225 inhabitans. In Marstal community 3.342 and in Ærøskøbing 3.883. Ærøskøbing community has several villages and 2 towns, Søby in the west with the shipyard and the activity on the harbour, and Ærøskøbing – the 750 year old and very well preserved provincial town – at the see on the middle of Ærø.
