Dumbarton must have changed a lot since the 'brutal concrete sprawl' review! We had a lovely couple of days there, following the 'Heritage Trail' (the Episcopal Church in the High Street was particularly lovely), visiting the Maritime Museum, and having a few good meals at The Abbotsford Hotel (that might not be how it's spelt) and a little fish 'n chip restaurant in the High Street.
