Built in 1878 by a local manufacturer for his wife, the majestic, turreted Ardoe House is designed in the Scottish Baronial style favoured by Queen Victoria for Balmoral Castle. Situated within its own beautifully landscaped grounds with magnificent views over the River Dee and open countryside. Ardoe House has the style of an elegant country mansion with all modern comforts. Rich oak panelling, ornate ceilings and stained glass windows abound. The Great Hall reception area is truly spectacular, the richly furnished public rooms are relaxing and there are various small secluded areas where guests can privately enjoy a glass of malt whisky.
