Svetlogorsk tourist information
The town is a cozy pleasant place, 35 km north-west from Kaliningrad. Svetlogorsk is a coastal town with high, steep sandy slopes, which are a great attraction for sunbathers. The town is practically dotted with pretty wooden houses making the town’s image unforgettable. The Commemorative chapel, opened in1994 on the former site of kindergarten, is a memorial to the 23 children and 9 adults who died after a military plane crashed into the building. There are several hotel options in the town, including some very popular sanatoriums and a camping ground.
