I live in Geneva, but and I spent 20 years of my life in Oporto. If you want to visit monuments, this is not the place you should comme to, but if you want to enjoy a well lived life, or vacation, this is the best city in the world to comme. The best time to comme to Oporto is in the summer. In 23th to 24th June is the best time to see this city and the biggest party S. Joćo, just before you have "Queima das fitas" with it's concerts, the party of is football team(it's every year), the Beer festival, the francesinha festival, the Nights at the Palacio, You can visit all the small tipical and cool bars in the ribeirinha zone, as well as restaurants. You have always something to do, Oporto has life and a soul, you can walk trough the small streets, and see all the nice friendly people that like to say big words, but that's because they have a heart so big, that is close to their mouth.
