Comment: We stayed at the hotel for two nights in April 2004. Our ground floor Family room for 4 people initially appeared very sparce with cold looking grey tiles, the same as were used thoughout the whole ground floor, we had expected carpet, the heating was through the floor and during the night was overly warm and stuffy. The second night we we found the single window which made things better but early in the morning we were awaken with the dustbins being wheeled out through the hotel, past our room and into the street.. The room had two 2 single beds and a pull out double bed. It does seem that Family rooms in most hotels are below the standard you would expect for a double room of the same class. Breakfast was good, choice of cereals, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, chicken, bread, cake, Orange or apple juice and tea and coffee. Staff were polite but gave the impression of being bored in there job and were not unduly friendly. I would have only given this 2*s but did not see what other rooms were like to judge but there was nothing in our room that to me would give it a higher rating. Not really what I would call a budget price since a family room is priced at the top end of the price scale. Overall, hotel was clean, beds comfortable and in a quite location and only a few minutes walk to all the major areas and to the buses and trams.
