Comment: Great hotel. Staff is very friendly. All-inclusive was great. Plenty of everything. Needs more nightlife activities though. It was annoying that the staff in the lobby kept offering a free meal and $100 cash for going to another hotel to listen to a sales pitch. Even so, we would return to this hotel.

Comment: This hotel was very good. Don't worry about the water or ice. I had it every day with no problem. The food was very good. They should change the menu from time to time but the restaraunts have a pretty good variety to choose from so you shouldn't get bored with the food. The hotel employees were very nice, especially at the pool bar and in the Italian restaraunt. Tips may be included with you stay but you should bring some extra money to tip the staff, they are very much worth it. No AC in the lobby but Ocean Breezes prevail.

Comment: Wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful. It is close to the beach, and has wonderful swimming pools. The workers are very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms and the buffet is wonderful. The restaurant food is not as good however. Bus service is great up and down the strip of Cancun. Great experience overall.

Comment: At first I was hesitant to book at a hotel I didn't know, but when I got to Oasis Playa it was wonderful! When we checked in, there were employees of the hotel giving us tropical drinks! The location is excellent. Your right on the beach. All the employees were very helpful and very friendly. The only thing I didn't like so much was the room. They don't have any carpeting! Its all tile and marble which I guess is ok, because I'm sure with the wonderful beach location it makes it easier for the maids to clean up all the sand you drag in after a relaxing day at the pool or beach :)

Comment: I went to Cancun this time expecting a similar experience from 5 years ago, but this hotel was much better than the hotel I stayed at the first time around. The pools are gorgeous, the food is actually pretty good, there is good beach access with free umrella's and hammocks, and best of all, they have FILTERED water in the dining facilities. The rooms are quite clean (except we had a little water corrosion in the tub) as is the entire hotel. This place is a great deal for the money!

Comment: Rooms were not available until 4pm but guests were welcome to use all the facilities and restaurants. The sushi restaurant was outstanding. The buffet was adequate at best. It was the same almost everyday. We found at least one cockroach in our room during our stay. We would recommend the hotel because of its pools, service, and beach location. In addition, all the public areas were always clean. If you are accustomed to good food and a nice room...we would highly suggest going somewhere else.

Comment: This hotel is at the end of the hotel zone, so if you want to spend a lot of time in town, you can just hop the bus and head out. One of the best beaches, but restaurant service is quite 'manana'. Buffet is good. If you seek nightlife, you may want to book something closer to town. Sushi bar is terrific! Housekeeping is just okay.

Comment: We chose the Oasis Playa based on reviews from several sites and the price and felt it exceeded its 3 star designation. While the rooms were functional at best, we had no complaints (everything worked, no leaks, comfortable pillow-top bed). However, the beach and pools were fantastic. Food service was above average and food quality was good. Bars were everywhere and we rarely had to wait for a drink. One word of caution if you're bringing children, the percent of topless sunbathers ranged from 20 to 80 percent at the pools and beach at any given time.

Comment: We really enjoyed our stay at the Oasis Playa. All-inclusive is the way to go if you want to take the focus off of food and simply lounge on the beautiful beach and relax. Many of the drinks tasted funny, but I loved their Long Islands. The food was hit and miss but once we found what we liked, we stuck with it and it was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Get upgraded to a room with an ocean view, large balcony, and Mexican-style jacuzzi (outdoor mini-pool, no jets). It's worth the extra $144 or so. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Comment: We went to Oasis Playa 7/31 - 8/4 of '06 and had great time. This was the first time I had ever been to Cancun and Oasis Playa was a wonderful 1st experience. For the money spent, I was more than satisfied. I read reviews and I was worried about the food, but it was great. I loved the pools. The staff waited on us like we were the only ones there. Most of them spoke English very well and if they didn't they would find you someone that did. This place is not a five star luxury resort so don't expect it to be, but for the cost, it was worth every penny.

Comment: The rooms need improvement (missing faucets, shower heads, floor tile corrision etc..) had to switch to different rooms. Food was ok if you eat within the hours specified and at the buffet (more to choose from), no snacks unless you buy at the gift shops $, room service is extra $, and no entertainment. The staff was friendly, the pools and beach were beautiful. I don't know what is was like before the hurricane, but overall it was alright, but not what we had expected!

Comment: We have a vacation planed for july 2006. I was wondering if the hotel has a water treatment system so we can drink the water, or is it only bottled water? Can you use the ice ?

Comment: My boyfriend and I saw the "great reviews" from this hotel, but as soon as we came to the hotel the staff had no idea where our room was. When they found it there was no A/C and the shower didn't work. We moved to another suite that had leaks everywhere. Also, the smell in the hall ways were disgusting. The only nice thing about the trip was the beaches and leaving the resort to go downtown.

Comment: Upon arrival at the hotel, we were notified that they were over booked and we did not have a room. They stashed us away for the nite @ a dwntwn location (not beach property). The next day we were promised a rm, upon arrival agian @ hotel, rm was not ready & we had to wait for room. They did upgrade to "junior suite", which consisted of very little AC (what an amentity). Overall, my boyfriend and I had a good time enjoying the beach/pools/markets & alot of walking!

Comment: We're not very hard to displease, but we would have to say that our visit was very unpleasant. From killing roaches daily, to standing in calf high shower water every morning which was never fixed as promised, power going out in room when you use the hair dryer, toilet not flushing, and bartender's talking to each other for 5 minutes at a time while the bar is lined with people waiting for drinks was a common occurence. The pools and beach were about the only things worth writing home about.

Comment: I would not stay here again. The rooms smelled like mold heavily, bugs bit us that left welts on our legs etc. I travel 45 times a year - and I can constructively say without hesistation avoid the Oasis Hotels.

Comment: The Oasis Cancun was horrible. The lobby was full of shirtless, drunken, disrespectful college kids. Their partying &shouting echoed loudly through the whole hotel (doors constantly slamming) till 5am & we go NO sleep. Our room was absolutely disgusting- smelling like a locker room; no hot water and a ginormous mold growth on our bathroom ceiling. At first light we demanded to be moved to another Oasis hotel & had to pay for a rental car to drive 1.5 hrs south to the Grand Oasis Maya Rivera in Akumal. Glad we did- night & day. It was paradise.
