Comment: My husband and I visited Cancun for our honeymoon. The staff was wonderful and informative. We had a room with a balcony ocean view. There was a variety of food at the restaurants. There is one swimming pool that provides activities and music. The hotel provides nightly entertainment. The drinks are GREAT!!! We are planning a family vacation to Cancun in 2007 and will be staying at Barcelo Tucancun.

Comment: My trip to the Barcelo was the ideal vacation. I left my wallet in my hotel room unless I just had something I had to do. I had no worries from the time I left till I got home. They really take care of you there and I'm planning a trip for my honeymoon

Comment: We stayed in July of last year. LOVED it! Upgraded to room w/HUGE balcony & outdoor jacuzzi. We tipped the maid so we got great service. The front desk staff was very helpful whenever we needed to ask a question or for directions. The bus line was extremely close. Swim up bar was fabulous, and Antonio was the coolest bartender. The food got a bit old, but we didn't go to Cancun for the food. Don't go on the cruises to Isla Mujeres, there is a public ferry for around $7 per person from Puerto Juarez and you can stay much longer on the island.

Comment: We just returned on August 7th from the Tucancun with a party of 20 people. The hotel location was wonderful and the hotel cleanliness was great. However, the quality of the food was very average and became boring. The alcoholic beverages were horrible. We actually went to the mall and purchased alcohol to make our own drinks. Upon check-out we suggested they have a premium alcohol package for people with a more discriminating taste. I loved Cancun but would upgrade to a higher quality resort on my next visit. The hotel itself was better than I expected.

Comment: We were very disappointed with the restaurants. Three out of the four served the same thing every meal. Also got the impression we were getting leftovers when there was scrambled eggs with peas and carrots one morning. Menu consisted of mixed vegetables, rice, mystery meat. Not a variety like in the other hotels we have stayed in at other times.
