Comment: Ambiance is worth it! Hotel is VERY CLEAN. BEACH is clean, and beautiful. The water is shallow for the first 40 yards. Hotel is nearby all the Clubs, restaurants, buses, grocery store, etc. Everything is within walking distance. Be sure to bring Water Shoes for any excursions or ocean adventures. It's also helpful to bring snacks b/c room has kitchen.

Comment: I booked a standard room at Ambiance Villa and got upgraded free of charge to a suite room with a kitchen an eating area a living room with a king size bed. The room, the pool, the restaurant and the lobby were all super clean. The reason I booked this hotel because the other reviews mentioned how clean it was and they were accurate.

Comment: It really is as pretty as shown on the website, and the room was very clean. Great breakfast buffet. Be as lazy as you want: drinks and food served on the beach. Also great restaurants (e.g. Mocambo) and shopping within walking distance, and opportunities for awesome day trips.

Comment: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with comfortable beds, great view, and very quiet. No elevators so request ground floor if can't do stairs. Good breakfast buffet, but dinner menu weak. Great pool. Big wide white sand beach - best we saw in Cancun.

Comment: This hotel is great, beach is fantastic. Only complaint is we had a standard room and it had no table. Staff was great! X, our housekeeper, and X at the beach bar were wonderful. Will definitely stay there again. Great for the price. Although modernized, it still has the quaint feel of "Mexico", which is difficult to find anymore in Cancun unless you stay downtown. Also like that it's not all inclusive. There are tons of great restaurants, especially downtown, that are much better than boring buffets and watered-down drinks.

Comment: Tranquility, peaceful and quiet. Definitely the best beach in Cancun. Sand is soft, white and clean. Ocean is calm and shallow. Loved the open lobby, drank a bottle of wine out there one night. A good get away if looking for peace and romance. Nice garden with birds and lizards. Breakfast was good, included in price- well worth it. Dinner/Lunch- food not good. Walking distance to the ?party zone?. Cross the street for the walk, otherwise you walk the long way. Good service. Would stay again, to bad its in Cancun- wish it was in Playa del Carmen.

Comment: We had a wonderful stay. We upgraded our room to a suite upon arrival. They have the absolute best beach in Cancun. Facilities extremely clean - didn't always get what you needed from maids - but the rest of the staff made up for that. Asside from the buffet breakfast, food and wait staff were very good. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Easy bus access to other places. Hotel consierge very helpful. Overall great trip. Highly recommend Ambiance Villas. Cancun is very friendly.

Comment: We spent our honeymoon here and We loved it! There is no elevator but someone carried our bags up to our room. Our room was beautiful We had no problems with the maids, we left a couple $ each day. We did use the lockbox. The staff was very friendly. We had all-inclusive. The only problem was the limited menu but we are not that picky. They say gratuities are included but we always tipped. They were always cleaning and polishing the resort. Enjoy the beach at the Ambiance it is the best I saw while we were there!

Comment: We were here for our anniversary. We had a great time. Beach is amazingly clean and well kept. Pool is big and well maintained. No elevators was a drawback and the food was pretty pricey for the variety. Service was awesome, everyone was really geared up for the World Cup enthusiast. Shopping is a couple of blocks away and Forum by the Sea is about 10 minutes by bus.

Comment: Beautiful location on well-kept beach, large pool and open lobby area. The birds were a little noisy and some of our sheets were stained, but overall very friendly staff and great value for our money!

Comment: Clean, renovated since hurricane. New appliances, TV, large rooms, kitchenettes, comfortable beds. Well-kept facilities, great staff, nice pool, fenced playground. Beach with plenty of umbrellas, chairs, Waverunner rental. Spa service available. Pricey breakfast buffet--$11, reasonable lunch entrees?$7-11. We walked a block to grocery store for cereal, milk, snacks, water & cervesa. 5-minute walk to hot nightspots. Two drawbacks for us: the hotel is on the north side of the hotel peninsula & there is absolutely no surf! Also, there is no elevator and our room was on the fourth floor.

Comment: Friendly staff, very clean, nothing fancy but nice, centrally located, great beach.My biggest complaint was you had to go to front desk or to the beach bar for ice, they was slow getting it, they need to put ice machine in.

Comment: My husband and I hadn't been to Cancun since 1996. MY has it changed. Now that we have kids, we wanted them to experience the ocean and the white sandy beaches. When looking for a hotel that was family friendly and clean, I like to read other travelers comments and they were so right about this hotel. We loved it!!!

Comment: The location of the hotel is a plus. However, the restaurant in the hotel is very expensive and there is no nearby place to eat breakfast. You can go to the store (about 1 block away) to purchase items, however. The bus transportation is outstanding and makes it affordable and easy to get around the island. The hotel itself is spotless, the staff is very friendly and the accommodations are spacious. Only drawback is the hotel does not have elevators. Loved it and plan on returning in the near future.

Comment: this is a nice place to stay, specially if you are going w/your family. I loved the beach (was the cleanest if the zone). I reservced the 2rm villa and we arrived at 2am and was told that there was no more. was given 2 separated rooms after they made me walk to a room that was on constuction, (bad experience at 2am). was finally given 2 villas both w/fridge and micro and one w/dining room and kitchen. the place was perfect and GREAT. I loved it, was very clean and in nice location. Would recommend. Will stay there again.. The staff need a lot of inprvmnt. Were very disorganized.

Comment: Would highly recommend. The accommodations were outstanding, everyone very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping a little slack, towels & such, but all you have to do is ask. Very well kept establishment. Would return.

Comment: Your satisfaction with this hotel will depend on your expectations. It is clean; the beach area is calm (i.e, no surf) with very little marine life; the pool is large and well maintained; most of the staff was friendly; menu is limited but several excellent restaurants are within walking distance; carryout is one block away; TelMex and Ladatel phones are curbside; there were no evening activities and the pool closes at 10:00PM. Comment: One of the few hotels under $100 in the hotel zone. The price is great and so is the beach. However, I must say the rooms are old, humid and smelly. I would recommend to stay at the hotel on the days you are going to other places such as Chichen-Itza, Xcaret, Xelha and Tulum, and dont spend much time in the hotel itself. To relax and enjoy the beach and pools, find another one. Worked well for me this way.

Comment: Not at all happy. Booked a 5 night stay in 2 bed suite. Pics on line looked great. Food too expensive. Gave me the tv remote at front desk and had to pay deposit (that is always a bad sign) Had severe ant problem. Shower flooded. Had to hit fridge to make it less loud. Noisy neighbors. We left the next day and went to the Riu down the street. It was wonderful. I was out the $$ but it was worth it.
