Comment: Great! Walking distance to town/marina...but not too close to be loud. Wonderful ocean swimming. Kids loved the huge water slide. Has groceries, pharmacy, coffee shop, internet cafe, on premesis. Downtown is so fun (and The Shrimp Factory a MUST) that you'll want to eat off the resort several nights. Free activities include pingpong, shuffleboard, water aerobics, pool and beach games. For a fee kidsclub babysitting, very small minigolf for kids, pottery painting, golf, parasailing, etc. We were only approached ONCE about Time Share presentation. NOT pushy at all. Loved it!

Comment: My new wife and I loved staying here. It is fairly conveniently located in San Lucas and not too far from San Jose either. Be Aware of the credit only policy in the resort, it's not really mentioned on the website. Bring a credit card or deposit money with them for your stay. It's easy but we didn't find out till we got there. There's lots to do, but watch out for the timeshare hawkers! Still, over all, it ws one of the best weeks we have ever spent!

Comment: The only bad experiences were the rude time share people at the airport. At the hotel it was a relaxing experience, had fun at the beach, fun snorkling, the surrounding area was interesting. The local people were friendly and helpful. I would go back again.

Comment: A very comfortable accomodation. The kitchens allow you to save money. The restaurants in the hotel are pricey as well as many of the restaurants in town. Plan ahead if you go into town and do several activities while there as the taxi fare is 7-12 dollars each way. Overall the staff is friendly and caters to your needs. Make sure you get a room on the upper levels not only because it affords you a wonderful view, but if you are in the main lobby building on a lower floor you will hear all the noise from the lobby. The beach was fabulous.The hotel provides lounges and umbrellas.

Comment: Great Experience! Brought a 9 Month old. Nice kid/infant pools and 2 adult pools. Security gates at entrance. Rooms were nice with kitchenware, refrigerator, microwave, personal small safe for passports. Location is key in Los Cabos. One mile from downtown, walked there with a stroller. Small deli, market, urgent care, spa, tennis courts, shops on site. Great Scenary! Only 15 minute ride by van to the best snorkeling: Santa Maria and Chelino bay. Criticisms, no pool bars and everyone reserves their pool chairs early in the morning. "gold card" = time share, not bad for us, but beware.

Comment: Great resort. Lots to do. We had a lousy room over looking some construction workers and an air conditioner, ran out of toilet paper twice.but in cabo you don't stay in room long. Great fishing, Snorkling, Stay away from Bucaner pirate ship for snorkling unless you like to snorkle in quarter the size of a football field with 150 others very crowded. use water taxis only with ladders or you'll get bruised up pretty bad. Other than these comment best place to vacation. Mango deck,Giggling Marlin, Cabo wabo and shrimp factory all must sees.

Comment: Had a blast in Cabo. Highly recommended. Hotel was great, very clean, staff was very helpful. Kitchenette in room was great, helped with cost of food for the week, as this can get very expensive. Only two complaints, there was never enough beach chairs as everyone would come down to pool at 6 am and throw towels over their chairs to reserve them; also went on a water taxi to lover's beach and waited an hour and a half for the taxi to come back for which it never did. Had to tip another taxi from another company to bring back.

Comment: Had read some reviews prior to our trip.had read about construction & odors. Called the hotel prior.They explained it was not at this location.Construction is going on at a property next door which does not effect the Palmar.hotel was a great family place. Slide at the "family style" pool.Rooms need updating , space was adequate in a 1 bedroom for 4 people.Staff was helpful.Spa services are good , need to be refurbished.In general hotel needs to give more info about Cabo,places of interest...2 of the days we were there it was cold. Had to wear layers,but we still had a great time.

Comment: Hotel is relatively nice for Cabo. The dinner parties and pool parties were good entertainment if you were waiting until later at night to head downtown. The beach is awesome and there is a steady flow of cabs up front to take you downtown. Hit up Cabo Wabo for dancing and then Giggling Marlin for your upside down shots!

Comment: I gave this resort a 4 only because I know there are better resorts out there. The sunset cruise on Pez Gato was reasonably priced and great fun. The waverunners were so fun we did it twice. Beware of the water taxis. They are very difficult to board and disembark. Reserve you chaise lounge early and choose one below a tree. If you choose one with an umbrella and you are not sitting there, they will take the umbrella upon request of other guests. Overall this was a very fun vacation. We would love to do it again!

Comment: I had a wonderful time. It was nice to be able to walk to town and feel so safe. The walk is about 20 minutes. Good exercise! The employees were so attentive to all our needs. We were 4 single woman who had a blast. I liked it alot better than Mazatlan. It is so clean in Cabo. I even bought a time share, and I had no pressure at all. I just loved it!! I'm taking my son and family back there this summer for a graduation present. Peace All

Comment: I really liked the hotel itself. I just had a hard time settling in because of the preasure to buy a time share. My room was great. The amenities were great. The view was awesome.

Comment: For many years my family and I have spent vacations in inexpensive Mexico. It is no longer the bargin we all look for. I have begun looking at other locations. If one ever wanted to visit Calif. and thought it was to expensive, if you vacationed in Cabo, its just a expensive or cheap, depending on your income level. Booking early, using public transportion, buying groceries at the mercado will lower your overall debt. I hate the fact you must take the TimeShare to get the gold card for discounts. Send one person if you must.

Comment: I've been there twice. Liked both trips a lot. bad: beach is tough to walk help is average never enough pool chairs rooms are avg. at best need better all-inclusive plan just tell the time-share NO a lot of vendors on the beach, in the way good: fun town nice pool great work-out room secure decent breakfast great golf (real expensive) This is a real nice resort for three couples to travel together and get the 3 bedroom unit. It has a great balcony to booze on.... hope to go back again 2007.

Comment: We had an ocean view which was nice but our room had mold on the celling and smelt really bad.The fridge is stocked with beer, pop and water, but it will cost you $3.90 for water $4.80 for a corona. People are very aggressive about Tipping Everywhere! The food is very exspensive at the hotel (and everywhere else). The fiesta was alot of fun. The walk down the beach to town was nice and only takes 20-30 minutes. Overall I thought Cabo was very expensive for what you get. But it was Fun!

Comment: I am not satisfied with the hotel at all. The rooms were not very nice, the service was very slow and rather unfriendly. It was an inexpensive hotel to stay at, but you get what you pay for. While I was in Cabo ,I went in several other hotels and for a little more money, you can stay in a much higer quality resort.

Comment: I have never stayed in a more depressing room. There was no window in the bedroom, I had bugs, no hot water and got sick. speaers were blarring at the pool and they always ran out of towels. had to get u by 8 ;00 to get a chair at the pool. The pull out bed matress was maybe 3" thick . Need I say more.
